Solar Eclipse Sound + Plant Medicine Journey

  • Nu Movement 716 University Avenue Rochester, NY, 14607 United States (map)

Ground and nurture your system with a Buchu Tea Ceremony and Sound Bath!

Come together for an evening of awakened presence, connecting with the energies and spiritual properties of Buchu Leaf and the vibrations of healing sound. Together we will prepare our vessels for the total solar eclipse through gentle breathwork, an expansive tea ceremony, and a rejuvenating sound bath.

We will commune with buchu in tea form, allowing ourselves to fully receive the plant's medicine through our sensory systems. Then we will relax very deeply, slip into the liminal space together through yoga nidra and allow integration of the plant's messages while being held in a sonic-womb of immersive, vibrational frequencies. The soundscape will include the symphonic gong, shruti box, guitar, harp, flute, drum, koshi chime, sansula kalimba, wave, vocal toning & singing, as well as crystal and tibetan metal bowls.

Buchu Leaf is a sacred plant native to South Africa and has been used in various medicinal and spiritual rituals by the Khoi and San peoples for thousands of years. It is a spiritual ally that supports us in expanding our heart as well as establishing healthy energetic boundaries and strengthening our sense of self. Buchu is believed to induce a light trance state and has been traditionally used to assist people in connecting with their ancestors, allies, inner knowing, and guidance from the spirit world at large.
