Morning Practice with Liza Savage-Katz

The Morning Practice with Liza Savage-Katz is a donation based program of yoga, meditation and writing. This practice is open to everyone who has a desire to improve their life. By creating an early morning routine of yoga, meditation and creative writing, participants are enabled to create a clear and conscious beginning to each day, thus setting themselves up for success.    

The 75 minute practice is divided into a 50 minute yoga practice based on the Astanga primary series, followed by a 10 minute meditation and a 15 minute morning pages writing exercise. Morning pages is an exercise of writing 3 pages of longhand on whatever you need or want to get out on paper. It can be a to do list, a brain dump of the clutter taking up space in your head, or that book that you have been wanting to write for years and is eating away at you. In a year of 15 minutes of daily writing, you will have that book!

Jivamukti Yoga Flow: Open Level  

Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining both a hatha yoga and vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (nonviolence, non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation). 

This well-rounded 75min evening class lead by Tara Sullivan, infuses an Art Gallery ambiance and music set to the pace of an inspired Vinyasa Flow. Perfect to ease away the day and prepare you for a restful night's sleep. We recommend that students seeking to take this class feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

Cardio Barre Fitness

Cardio Barre Fitness with instructor Heather Farquhar is a dance inspired fitness class designed to target all areas of the body. Cardio Barre will add an challenging interval workout with intense cardio and a sculpting workout at the barre. This class will help to give you elongated, sculpted, lean muscles without impact. It brings together the physical and aesthetic benefits of lengthening and strengthening of muscles that you didn't even know existed. Modifications will be made to accommodate all levels, no experience necessary.

Pilates AT NOON

Strengthen and Stretch over your lunch break, with Instructors Leslie MacDonald and Heather Farquhar, in this mid-day Pilates-based 60 minute session!  No need to hit the showers after. We will work on deep core stabilizing, deep, restorative breathing and neck, shoulder, hip and back releases to send you back to work energized and relaxed, and perhaps “glowing” just a bit. Come as you are, but make sure to wear clothes you can move in, or something to change into quickly. Variations done standing, or seated in a chair will be offered for all those who prefer not to get down on the floor. Mats provided.

Gentle chair yoga with Marissa Bland, is the perfect solution for those with balance issues, those who have trouble getting to the floor, people looking to start slowly, or anyone who would just feel more confident in starting out this way.  It not only has the benefits of regular yoga, such as helping with stress, pain, and fatigue, but it can also help with joint lubrication, balance, and even age-specific issues like menopause and arthritis. This sequence will benefit anyone who prefers to do yoga in a chair, such as seniors, people recovering from injury, or those who sit for prolonged hours at work.

Shake off your after-work blues and revive your body, with this fun, 60-minute Vinyasa flow. Nicole Gilbert will guide you in a safe and comfortable environment to find your own personal edge. A Regular yoga practice will release stress, help you attain right body weight, improve your posture and general health. You'll be surprised how great you can feel and how many areas of the body you can target before heading home for the day.

Sitting at a desk all day and hunching over your smartphone leads to tightness in your shoulders, neck, back, hips, hamstrings, and chest. This vigorous but gentle practice will, challenge your strength and balance, ignite your body and help you to unwind after a long day. Finishing your practice with a deep relaxing shavasana will shift you both in body and mind. Give yourself this hour to look forward to every Tuesday!

Come experience a unique style of dance merging African, Modern, Ballet and Jazz. Transcend beyond traditional movement to an eclectic combination of linear, asymmetrical, rhythmic movement found in Afro- Modern Mix.

This class with Kassandra Baggs, combines the grace and elegance of ballet, the grounded earthy rhythmic flow of African Dance, the expressive freedom and pose of modern dance and the energetic syncopation of Jazz. Ages 13 and up are welcome. Students should have previous dance experience. Class begins with a floor warm up, followed by a standing sequence leading into adagio. Please come prepared with a leotard, stretch pants, aerobic pants or Yoga Pants. Class is barefoot, no shoes required.

Mid-Week Lunch Hour Qigong

This class is for those who have the desire to incorporate a wellness practice into their weekly schedule, but do not necessarily have time in the morning OR evening.

The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong (Chi Kung) reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.

One of the more important long-term effects is that Qigong reestablishes the body/mind/soul connection. Please join Raphaela McCormack in this truly holistic and beneficial weekly afternoon class.

Pilates Matwork & More

Magic Circles, foam rollers, Pilates Stick, Therabands, yoga blocks, free weights and even tennis balls are all valuable equipment items for your Pilates practice. What are all these things and why are they so useful to your training? In this class, we will explore these and other small equipment items, learning how to get the most out of your Pilates workouts.

We’ll help you build an effective home practice routine, and create an inexpensive home studio using small portable or improvised equipment for those days you can’t make it to class or are traveling. We will also learn the vertical Pilates repertoire, explore seated variations and modifications for those who have injuries or who are unable to get down onto to the floor.

A Pilates-based adult ballet class with focus on strength, core stability and freedom of movement! Ideal for the “come back” dancer, modern and contemporary dancers wanting to fine-tune their technique, athletes and anyone wanting to stretch and strengthen, relax and release. The yin within - with kathryn lorraine

Go deep within to find the stillness and peace that is waiting. In this deeply relaxing and restorative practice, Kathryn will provide students of all levels a time to calm the mind and nervous system, go inward and just breath. 

Yin yoga consists of gentle floor poses held for a longer period of time with the support of props. It is a passive practice that activates beneficial change deep within the body. Through this practice one will greatly increase their flexibility, release the fascia (connective tissues) of the body, lubricate the joints, rid the body of toxic emotions and stress, and cultivate inner awareness and peace. Class will end with a soothing guided meditation. Leave class feeling deeply connected to the inner peace within.

A perfect class for beginners and more experienced yogis/athletes looking to balance and improve their yang (intense/active) practice.

Sculpt and Tone Barre Fitness with instructor Heather Farquhar is a dance inspired fitness class designed to target all areas of the body. Combining Pilates, body weight and strength conditioning with yoga and ballet moves and a hint of cardio.

This class will help to give you elongated, sculpted, lean muscles without impact. It brings together the physical and aesthetic benefits of lengthening and strengthening of muscles that you didn't even know existed. Modifications will be made to accommodate all levels, no experience necessary.

Join instructor Kelsey Cretekos as you move through a slow flow yoga sequence to end your night right.

We will be practicing with restorative poses that will be light and relaxing on your body.  We will walk through a few short standing vinyasa's to connect breathe to movement, then move into a deeper Yin style of yoga. Each restorative pose will be held for enough time to take in its full effect.

In this class we will set personal intentions before and end with a relaxing savasana to transition you into the rest of your evening. All levels are welcome and Kelsey will assist you through the poses as needed to help aid in deeper stretching and relaxation. This class is designed to open you up physically and spiritually to completely relax you from whatever the day has brought.

Barre Fusion with instructor Abbey Smith, will give a full-body workout concentrating on hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms while creating the mental benefits similarly obtained with yoga or meditation. It is a low-impact class, using isometric movements to firm, lengthen, and shape long lean muscles to sculpt your body and clear your head for the day ahead!

Modifications can be made so this class is safe for all bodies and ages. No experience necessary.

Integrate some simple stretching and breathing into your weekend routine with this peaceful and approachable flow that will balance the senses and calm the mind.

Gentle Yoga is a mind-body awareness practice that is far less strenuous than other forms. This relaxed version of yoga with Instructor, Anne Skivington-Simes, emphasizes mental relaxation through a series of breathing instruction and slow yoga stretches and poses. We have a small class-size format that is perfect for meeting your individual needs through the use of equipment such as mats and bolsters. Perfect for beginners or those who wish to practice a slow paced Hatha style yoga with a gentle flow.

WEEKLY DETOX YOGA - Donation class

Come start your work week right with a Sunday night detoxifying Vinyasa class!  Taking this Sunday night class, you will be ready to shake a case of "the Mondays" the following day, as well as get your Summer BBQ diet back on track!

This Powerful Vinyasa Class with Instructor Kimberly Burns, links breath to movement to create a sequence of poses that are both energetic and aerobic by building internal heat, strength, balance and flexibility. Students are encouraged to bring water and a towel because detoxification of the body through sweat is common and encouraged for this style of class.  The charge for this class is a minimum $5.00 donation.

Join Marissa Bland every third Friday of the month for an intimate evening of honoring the moon and all of her magic. Participants will be walked through a moon ceremony in order to pay homage to the current moon phase and to align our lives with it's metaphysical properties.  

This month, we delve into the origin of Dreamcatchers and the meditative practice of creating your own.  Dream catchers originated among Native American tribes and span both  centuries and geography.  The importance of the Dreamcatcher in Native American culture will be explored, as well as their role in our current society and spiritual practices. 

We will circle up, preparing ourselves and our space with a cleansing sage smudging before setting our intention for the evening.  After covering the basics on the meaning of the August full moon, we will engage in movement and meditation exercises to settle the mind and body.

Crystals, and chakra work will be used as well to harness the power of the moon to guide the creation of our Dreamcatchers. Participants will leave with their hand-crafted Dreamcatcher.

Join Linda Bayer-Lawrence for a NEW type of yoga! This practice pairs yoga with playful art explorations intended to reconnect you with your child-self and creative nature. The monthly art experiences invite you to connect with the process of creating, discovering and expressing inner imagery along side a mindful yoga practice. 

The theme for September is Self Awareness. Art and yoga share a quality of inward connection providing a meditative, thoughtful experience of self-discovery. During this session we will listen to our soul and create a layered collage filled with pattern, vibrant colors and symbols to express ourselves creatively.

All materials are provided however you may wish to bring some patterned papers of your own that resonate with you.

This class is offered on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 12:30pm - 2:00pm / space is limited to 20 guests.
